Get poker machines out of Tasmanian pubs and clubs
Poker machines are designed to addict and rigged to win.
They cost too many Tasmanians their health, relationships, job or home.
One in three Tasmanians knows someone seriously harmed by gambling on poker machines. Four out of five Tasmanians want poker machines reduced in number or totally removed from pubs and clubs.
State parliament is considering the future of poker machines in Tasmania right now, so it’s time to act. Our goals are simple:
- Get poker machines out of community venues like pubs and clubs.
- Make sure that poker machines that remain in casinos are properly regulated to be safe and fair.
We have a unique opportunity to stop a new licence being issued for poker machines in pubs and clubs, which means we can get them out of our community.
